Bantam Team Wins Top NH Saints Hockey Weekend

In another strong weekend of Valley Hockey League action, the New Hampshire Saints hockey program posted wins and great performances.

The "weekend" began early, with the Midget team playing on Thursday night in Haverhill. The team posted another gritty performance in a 6-5 loss to Wilmington. 

On Saturday, the PeeWee team continued to improve while coming up short in a loss to Chelmsford in Billerica. 

Sunday had both Bantam teams in action. The Bantam 1 team overcame a sluggish start and a 2-0 deficit with 4 unanswered goals to defeat NH East 4-2 in Hudson. A balanced offensive effort resulted in goals from Jim Harootian, Matt Diprizio, Mason Healey and Joey Carney. The defense had another solid performance and Aleksei Lavrentyev had another great effort in goal.

The Bantam 2 team followed on to the Bantam 1 performance with an impressive 6-2 win against Nashoba in Nashua. This was another well-rounded offensive effort, with goals from Jared NatolaVincent Annicchiarico (2 goals), Bobby Merchel, Jared Taranto and Hunter HealeyAustin Smith and Zach DeBay once again successfully shared duties in the net for the win.
