Blasting Work to Begin on I-93 North

Expect rolling roadblocks, minor delays starting on Monday, Jan. 12; work is expected to last about four weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announced earlier this week that blasting work will begin on I-93 northbound near mile marker 8.0, north of the weigh station in Windham.

This work is scheduled to began Monday, Jan. 12, and could, weather depending last four weeks or so. Blasting operations will be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., occurring two to four times a week. Rolling roadblocks with minor delays can be expected on both I-93 northbound and southbound travel ways.

This work is weather dependent. Message boards and uniformed officers will be used along I-93 to provide advanced information and direct motorists through the work zone.

This work is part of the construction of the final northbound I-93 roadway alignment and northbound ramps in the vicinity of Exit 3. Weaver Bros. Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $32.2 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2016.
