Among its many exciting activities, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem is offering its 2nd Annual Summer Music Program. This program was inspired by making music accessible and affordable for children in grades 1-12 in Salem and the greater community.
The music program consists of weekly private lessons and ensemble rehearsals. Private lessons are offered for guitar, percussion, voice, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and French horn. Ensembles include glee club, flute choir, jazz combos, duets, trios, quartets, and quintets! Please note that the availability of these ensembles depend on the instrumentation and level of all students participating.
This 8 week program begins Monday, June 23 and concludes Friday, August 22. All lessons and rehearsals will take place at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem in the Music Room, located in the Teen Center. They will be scheduled Monday – Friday. All private lessons are $22 per 30 minutes and students participating in ensembles pay weekly based on the number of students participating within the ensemble. A free one year membership will be given to those students who participate in the full eight weeks of lessons and/or ensembles!

All students participating must be a member of the Boys and Girls Club, though they do not need to be registered for summer camp. Students who are members and attending summer camp will be scheduled around their field trips.
The Boys and Girls Club is truly a “positive place for kids" in that they provide so many opportunities for children to learn and grow. Music will develop your child’s confidence, independence, musicality, as well as contribute to learning improvements in all other academic subjects.
