Murder Suspect Captured at Red Roof Inn Hideout in Salem
Salem police said they staked out the Red Roof Inn and arrested Joshua Chevez, who allegedly shot a man to death in Lawrence in 2014.

SALEM, NH — Police captured a murder suspect at a Red Roof Inn in Salem Wednesday night.

Joshua Chevez, 23, of Methuen, Mass., was wanted for allegedly shooting and killing a man in Lawrence last year.
Police said they descended on the inn at about 10:15 p.m. after receiving information that Chevez was staying there. When he walked out of his room, he was arrested without a fight, police said.

Police said they found a .38-caliber revolver, crack cocaine, and oxycodone.
Chevez was charged in the Aug. 17 shooting death of Mark Trussell.

He was held without bail pending an arraignment.
