Saturday

  • Santa Saturday. Kidgits and The Children’s Place in the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem will celebrate the magic of the season at 8 a.m. on Saturday, in the food court. The event includes a parade, craft making, light snacks and more.
  • Help the Windham High School Band. Need a new mattress? The Windham High School Band is holding a mattress fundraiser at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the high school. The sale will feature some great prices!
  • Learn About Electric Cars. Grappone Ford in Concord hosts an electric hybrid car event along with Ford and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Learn about the latest in advanced electric hybrid technology.
  • Obamacare Info. Nashua Community College will be hosting an informational meeting about the Affordable Care Act at 9 a.m. on Saturday. 
  • Princess Tea. The Concord Contemporary Club hosts the third annual princess tea at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Red River Theatres. Tickets are $20 to $30, with proceeds going to charities.  
  • A Gluten Free Thanksgiving. Chef Oonagh Williams will offer a gluten free cooking class at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Merrimack. 
  • Shrek the Musical. The Peacock Players present performances of the play at 2 and 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
  • Paint with Your Child. The Canvas Roadshow Studio in Bedford has a special painting class for you and your child at 2 p.m. on Saturday. 
  • Roast Pork Supper. The Arlington Street United Methodist Church is hosting the family dinner at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10; $9 for seniors and $6 for children 5 and older.
  • Help the Salem Animal Rescue League. The fifth annual Whiskers & Tails Amber Moonlit Night, a benefit for the Salem Animal Rescue League, will be held at 5 p.m. on Saturday, at the Atkinson Country Club. Tickets are $30 and include a live auction and raffle prizes.
  • Lasagna Dinner. The First Baptist Church of Nashua is hosting an Italian café lasagna dinner at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $12. Proceeds will go to help fund having former WBZ broadcaster Liz Walker participate in the annual MLK event next year. 
  • Legally Blonde, the Musical. The Bedford High School players present this musical at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday in the theatre. 
  • Les Miserables. The Actorsingers group perform the musical at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Elm Street theatre.

  • Derryfield School Open House. The Manchester school will hold an open house at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the performing arts auditorium where perspective students can learn about activities at the educational facility.
  • Benefit for CHaD. The Palace Theatre in Manchester hosts a showing of the Warren Miller Ski Film at 2 p.m. on Sunday. All the process from the tickets and silent auction go to Dartmouth Hitchcock Children’s Hospital (CHaD). 
  • Get into the Swing of Things. The Windham Swing Band plays at Whippersnappers Restaurant in Londonderry at 5 p.m. on Sunday. 
  • Full Moon Hike. The Peabody Mill Environmental Center in Amherst hosts a full moon hike at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Bring a flashlight and prepare to look up at the stars. Tickets at $8 for Amherst residents; $10 for non-residents. There is also family pricing for the event too.
  • Pets Can Meet Santa, Too? Sure! Bring them by the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem at 6 p.m. to sit on Santa’s lap and celebrate the Christmas cheer (note: all pets must be leashed or crated).
