Tell readers a little about yourself and your background.

I am a lifelong Salem resident, other than four years in the U.S. Army.  For 20 years I worked in the family business building custom homes in the greater Salem area. Our projects included Woodmeadow, Brookhollow, Hawkins Glen and Ivan Gile Road.

In a nutshell, describe your business.

More Space Place sells and installs Murphy Beds, Home Offices and Custom Closets.  The closet line also includes pantries and garages.  As part of a 40-store organization, we can offer a full range of wall beds, such as Bookcase Beds, Panel Beds and Pocket Door Murphy Beds.  We have a beautiful showroom at 450 South Broadway (Route 28) across from Babies-R-Us that not only has closet and pantry displays, but eight wall beds spanning our complete product line.

What is your favorite part about what you do?

As owner, I oversee all designs and place all orders, but more importantly, I deliver and install every wall bed, cabinet and closet.  With this, I can be certain the job is done exactly as the customer expects. Most jobs are completed within a day, giving the customer an instant improvement in their quality of life, whether it is a new walk-in closet or a home office with a guest bed ready when company arrives.
