Tell readers a little about yourself and your background.
Like many small businesses, I started Technology Seed in my basement. Building a business by yourself/out of your house, sounds exciting, but in reality, it’s very difficult, time-consuming and trying. That being said, I wouldn’t trade in the experience. 12 years later, businesses all over the Northeast rely on Technology Seed to prevent IT problems for their company.
In a nutshell, describe your business.
We are a Managed Service provider that delivers responsible, professional, top-tier IT Support for business. We employ some of brightest experts in the area. The tested methods/tools that we use to manage our customers' IT help to predict failures and eliminate downtime.
Our customers typically realize a 25 to 50 percent decrease in their IT spending when switching to Technology Seed, which is satisfying to our customers and rewarding to us.
What is your favorite part about what you do?
Our business model revolves around preventing IT problems. We’re very good at what we do. However, no matter how effective we are, there are always unforeseen surprises. Those surprises are what make our jobs interesting. There are days we come to work and know exactly what lies ahead; there are days that we have no idea what will unfold. Those are the lively days! : )
What's the most important thing you'd like your customers to know about your business?
We truly care about our work and our current customers will attest to that. Our dedication shows in the work we do.
The most important item that differentiates Technology Seed from our competition is that we’re motivated to PREVENT IT problems, not profit from them. Unlike many contractors, we don’t bill hourly. Contractors that bill hourly profit when their customers have problems. It’s a conflict of interest. Our business model is the exact opposite. Our customers, and our company, are most profitable when our customers have no downtime – achieved through our planning and monitoring. The model works exceedingly well.
