The
Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) and Rockingham Motors today announced they
will partner to host a family friendly event celebrating National Responsible
Pet Owners Month on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 11:00am-2:00pm. The day
will feature famed entertainer Leland Faulkner, who is a magician, a character
actor, and a mime artist and is famed for his shadowgraphs and chapeaugraphy.
“SARL is
proud to partner with Rockingham Toyota to help promote a future generation of
responsible pet owners. We have designed a great day of entertainment that will
both educate and entertain kids and parents alike.” said D.J. Bettencourt,
SARL’s Director of Development and Community Relations.
The event will also feature: Raffles, face painting, food, face
painting, balloon animals, games, free gift bags, educational materials on
responsible pet ownership and photographs with SARL’s Mascot, “Rocky.”

“As long-time supporters of the Salem Animal Rescue League,
Rockingham Toyota is excited to help produce a family event that brings the
community together for a great cause,” said Ryan Horgan, Operations Director
for Rockingham Toyota.
There is a $5 donation for entrance and all proceeds will benefit
SARL and the Hayes Family Scholarship, which is awarded each year to a high
school senior interested in pursuing a college career in animal sciences,
pre-veterinary/veterinary technology, or a related field. Sponsorship
opportunities are available.
