​Chamber Members Will Get Washington Update from Kuster, Shea-Porter

SALEM, NH — The Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce will host a Washington Update from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m., Friday, April 21, 2017, at Atkinson Resort & Country Club in Atkinson, according to a press statement. U.S. Rep. Ann McLane Kuster, D-NH, and U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, D-NH, will be on hand to update the local business community on federal issues and to answer questions and hear concerns from area business leaders.

U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan have been invited to take part as well.

“Washington Update will give members of the business community the opportunity to hear first hand what is going on now — and what is coming down the pike — in DC,” said Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce President Donna Morris.

“It’s not often one can hear from, and talk to, both of the state’s Congresswomen in the same place at the same time,” continued Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce President Will Stewart. “For anyone interested in federal business regulations or just politics in general, this event is not to be missed.”

The morning will begin with a continental breakfast and networking from 7:45 to 8:15 a.m., followed by remarks from the legislators from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m., including time for moderated questions and answers.
