Congratulations to the Salem High School Blue Devil Winter Percussion Ensemble!

On April 2, 2016, the Salem Blue Devil Winter Percussion Ensemble competed in the New England Scholastic Band Association (NESBA) Winter Percussion Championships. Performing their show "1,037 Days", a tribute to President John F. Kennedy, the ensemble proudly represented Salem. Beginning in November, the ensemble has put in hundreds of hours of rehearsal time. They competed in several competitions leading up to the New England championships and heading into this past weekend, the ensemble had an undefeated NESBA season. Their dedication and hard work paid off as they won the NESBA Percussion Scholastic AA Division.

This talented group of students will be leaving on April 12, 2016 for the Winter Guard International (WGI) Winter Percussion World Championships in Dayton, OH. While there, they will compete against groups from around the country. Saturday night April 9th, they will be performing their moving show for a free Family and Friends Community event. Come cheer them on for their send off performance at 8:00pm at Salem High School in the Davis Gym. Good luck Salem Blue Devils!
