Salem Police: Michael Maynard sexually gratified himself in the mirror at Circle K and at Dunkin' Donuts; picked up drive-thru while naked.

SALEM, NH — Employees at two local establishments have filed complaints against a man for allegedly exposing himself on three different occasions last week within 90 minutes of each other, according to police. Michael Maynard, 23, of Salem, was arrested on Aug. 16, 2016, and charged with three counts of indecent exposure.

According to police, officers were sent to the Circle K on North Broadway at just after 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 12, for a report of a man exposing himself in a bathroom.

“At the time, employees reported a male had propped the door open with a trash bin and was seen masturbating while looking in the mirror and holding his cell phone,” according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “The employees yelled at the male to leave the store and he complied.”
At around 4 a.m., two other incidents were reported at the Dunkin’ Donuts on North Broadway. Officers there spoke to employees who alleged that they saw a man sitting in a vehicle just before the shop opened for business. A man in a vehicle then placed an order via the drive-thru.

“As the vehicle was making its way to the pick-up window it came to a stop before pulling up to the pick-up window,” according to Dolan. “When the vehicle got to the window, the female employee observed the male operator had his pants down by his ankles with his genitals fully exposed. The male then collected his order and drove off.”
A short while later, the man from the vehicle reportedly entered the shop and went to use the bathroom where he was reportedly sexually gratifying himself again. He was told by a female employee to leave or she would be calling police so he fled the area, according to the report.
Investigators eyed surveillance footage and were able to quickly identify Maynard as a suspect, according to Dolan. He turned himself in on a warrant earlier today.
Maynard was held on a 72-hour probation hold due to previously being convicted of indecent exposure after a reported incident in Hillsboro in 2015. He refused bail and is being held. Maynard will be arraigned in Salem District Court tomorrow.
