Cue Zero Theatre Company Presents 'When the Rain Stops Falling' In Salem
The modern classic explores themes of fate and generational trauma, spanning continents and generations, from London to Australia.

SALEM, NH — Cue Zero Theatre Company will open its 2026 main stage season with performances of "When The Rain Stops Falling."
The play will run from Feb. 27 through March 1 at the Arts Academy of New Hampshire, located at 19 Keewaydin Drive, #4, in Salem.
"When The Rain Stops Falling" is described as an exploration of fate, responsibility, and the weight of personal history. The narrative spans continents and generations, moving from London to rural Australia and from the 1950s to the 2030s. It follows the Law and York families as they uncover long-hidden secrets that influence their lives.

Director Joshua Benham stated that the play asks, “How did we come to this?” He added that it explores actions that build or break relationships. Benham also noted that every character and action can be traced across many years, showing the effects of their connections. He expressed hope that audience members will find parts of their own experiences reflected in the characters.
The production contains themes and actions related to death, mentions of sexual abuse and suicide, profanity, and sexual language. Viewer discretion is advised for these mature themes.

Tickets for "When the Rain Stops Falling" are $20 plus fees per person. They can be purchased online or at the door. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Cue Zero Theatre Company, founded in December 2013, focuses on supporting young, talented artists and showcasing new works. The company aims to provide a professional-level venue for artists in the early stages of their careers. The Arts Academy of New Hampshire, a chartered public high school, integrates arts and academics to foster creative thinkers.
