Derry Man Dies in I-93 Crash

Ethan Hargreaves suffered fatal injuries after a crash in Salem this morning near the Massachusetts border, according to NHSP.

SALEM, NH — One man was killed, another injured, after a crash on I-93 southbound this morning, according to the New Hampshire State Police. Ethan E. Hargreaves of Derry, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at around 4:45 a.m. on July 25, 2016, after a single motor vehicle crash near Mile Marker 0.6. State troopers were sent to the crash and found a 1996 Honda Accord, operated by another Derry man, several feet down an embankment. The vehicle had overturned, “for unknown reasons at this time,” after the driver lost control of the vehicle, and stopped when it hit a cluster of trees, according to Trooper Michael Pelletier.

The driver was transported to the hospital with injuries, according to Pelletier. Assisting at the scene were members of the NH State Police Troop B Barracks, Salem Fire and Rescue teams, EMS Crews, and the NH DOT.

At this time the crash investigation is being handled by the State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (C.A.R. Unit). Hargreaves, according to his online profile, was a local father and a 2012 graduate of Pinkerton Academy.
