Denise Doxley Curator, Ancient Egyptian, Nubian and Near Eastern Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston returns for another wonderful program:
Egypt's First Pharaohs: A New Gallery for Egypt's Oldest Kings. Long before the Valley of the Kings or even the Great Pyramids, Egypt’s first kingswere buried in subterranean tombs at the site of Abydos in southern Egypt. The MFA, Boston, recently opened a new gallery highlighting objects discovered there by 19th century archaeologists. Learn more about these finds as well as about how excavations still underway today continue to shed light on these ancient mysteries.
