Fire Reported on Zion Hill Road
Salem Fire and Rescue teams, mutual aid called to two-alarm blaze this morning.

SALEM, NH — Salem firefighters as well as others were called to Zion Hill Road this morning for a chimney fire, according to reports online. The teams were called to the Salem two and half story home at around 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 21, 2016, Rockingham Alert noted on Facebook.
At around 9:15 a.m., a second alarm was called after the fire extended from the chimney. The fire was brought under control at around 9:30 a.m. but “extensive overhaul (was) required,” alerts noted.
On Twitter, Salem Fire noted that the house was nearly 200 years old.
