“Officers confirmed the male was in fact a guest and were also able to confirm the warrant with Florida authorities,” according to Lt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “Upon confirming the warrant, it was unclear if the male was still in possession of any weapons. Officers responded to the Red Roof Inn and were able to call the male out of his room. He was stopped on the sidewalk as he was making his way to the office and taken into custody without incident.”

Rogers was charged and held without bail in the Rockingham County Jail until he could be arraigned and extradited to Florida.
