Fugitive of the Week -- Salem Bank Robber Caught in Boston Wednesday

Stephen Roger Gingras, originally of Lawrence, Mass., is the man who allegedly robbed the Citizens inside the Salem Shaw's Supermarket.

Salem police believe Stephen Roger Gingras is the man who held up the Citizens Bank inside the Shaw's Supermarket on Thursday. On Friday they issued a warrant for his arrest for bank robbery.

The Salem P.D. has also asked the New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force to find him and arrest him.

He is the fugitive of the week and is considered armed and dangerous, according to Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White in Concord.

White said Gingras, 39, is originally from Lawrence, Mass., but is believed to have been living in Manchester, N.H., where he has family, friends and associates. However, he also has connections all through Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. He is 5'11,'' weighs 150 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair and tattoos on both hands and fingers. He also has a tatoo of Texas and a cross on his left arm.

"If you have any information about the whereabouts, or have observed a person that resembles GINGRAS, please contact the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, or your local police," White said.
