UPDATE: Power Restored in Salem
A garbage truck a utility pole in the Oakridge Avenue area. Hundreds were without power for most of the day.

Update, 8:14 p.m. Power has been restored to all of Salem, according to Liberty Utilities. “Four crews spent the day repairing damage from a dump truck that hit A pole, took down wires,” according to the Tweet.
Update, 3:07 p.m. Restoration time has been pushed back to 6 p.m. On Twitter, Liberty Utilities stated that two transformers were damaged and they need to be replaced.
Update, 12:21 p.m. on Jan. 11, 2016: Liberty Utilities announced a restoration time of 1 p.m.

SALEM, NH - Salem Police and Fire and Rescue teams are on Oakridge Avenue where a garbage truck struck and knocked down a utility pole. According to alerts online, the street is closed at Sand Hill Road.

According to Liberty Utilities, 387 customers are without power and workers at the scene. No restoration time has been posted, according to a Tweet.
