SALEM, NH — Town Clerk Susan Wall has released information about Salem town office elections for 2017, as well as the list of incumbents currently serving. The filing period runs from Wednesday, Jan. 25, through Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.

For Selectman – THREE Years - Vote for TWO

Incumbents: Arthur Barnes, Michael “Mike” Lyons

For Town Clerk- THREE Years - Vote for ONE

Incumbent: Susan Wall

For Tax Collector - THREE Years - Vote for ONE

Incumbent: Cheryl-Ann Bolouk

For Treasurer - THREE Years - Vote for ONE

Incumbent: John Sytek

For Budget Committee - THREE Years - Vote for TWO

Incumbents: Shannon Bettencourt, Thomas Plante

For Library Trustee - THREE Years - Vote for ONE

Incumbent: Kathleen Norton

For Trustee of the Trust Funds - THREE Years - Vote for ONE

Incumbent: Russell Frydryck

For Planning Board - THREE Years - Vote for TWO

Incumbents: Ronald Belanger, Laurel Redden

For Zoning Board of Adjustment - THREE Years - Vote for TWO

Filing

The filing period runs from Wednesday, Jan. 25, through Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. Anyone interested in running for office will need to file at the Town Clerk’s Office, 33 Geremonty Drive.

Office Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Candidates must be a registered voter in Salem.

Town Meeting: First Deliberative Session will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at SHS.

Election: March 14, 2017. Polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at five polling places

Citizens petitions must be received by 5 p.m. Jan. 10, 2017. You Must have 25 signatures of registered voters.
