Get Ready for the Salem Holiday Parade
The theme of the parade this year is Candy Shoppe Christmas; the Grand Marshal for this year is Patrick Moeschen.
The annual Salem Holiday Parade will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015.
The parade begins at the Fisk School on Main Street, continues down Main Street to the Kelly Library, and ends at Salem High School.
The theme of the parade this year is Candy Shoppe Christmas - and the organizers can’t wait to see all the candy-themed floats and entries! They are also extremely pleased to announce the Grand Marshal for this year, Mr. Patrick Moeschen.

Moeschen grew up in Salem and has been a band teacher at Woodbury School for 21 years. At the age of 12, he was diagnosed with Becker’s Muscular Dystrophy, but it has never stood in the way of his love of music and his students. He has been a passionate advocate for MDA and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, raising money and traveling the world speaking on behalf of these organizations. In 2007, he was given the Teacher of the Year honor for the state of NH from the Wal-Mart Foundation, and received the same honor from the town of Salem and the local Rotary Club.
The organizers welcome all to participate in the parade - businesses, non-profit groups, sports teams, or groups of friends or neighbors who want to build a float or walk together. There’s still time to join! Contact salemholidayparade@gmail.com for more info. Follow us on Facebook Salem N.H. Holiday Parade and Twitter @SalemParade.
