
Another weekend of youth hockey for the New Hampshire Saints resulted in a number of victories and accomplishments across the various teams.
On Saturday the Mite team registered another big win, this time against Concord-Carlisle in Tewksbury. Hunter Marcin, Jack McNair, Andrew Sylvain and Noah Tanguay all scored multiple goals. A special mention goes to Olivia Trainor on her first goal of the season!
The Bantam 2 team scored 6-3 victory Saturday night over Billerica in Nashua. Vinnie Annicchiarico scored a hat trick, Nick Sorcinelli added a goal and 2 assists, and Jack Troupe and Jared Natola each had a goal as the team scored 5 unanswered goals. Austin Corea posted a strong game in goal in the win. On Sunday night, a late rally came up just short for the team, resulting in a 4-3 loss to Andover in Haverhill. Vinnie Annicchiarico, Nick Sorcinelli and Jared Natola all tallied goals in a gritty effort.
The Bantam 1 team lost to Wakefield 7-1 Friday night in Haverhill. The Saints went down 6-0 at the end of the first. The Saints lone goal was scored in the third period by Jim Harootian, assisted by Riley Nutter to nullify the shutout. The team rebounded strong and defeated the Seacoast Spartans 10-4 Sunday night in Exeter. Hat tricks were recorded by Jared Tuccolo and Joe Moore, along with a "play maker" going out to Jon Last. Last also scored two goals along with Patrick Hare to round out the Saints ten-goal night.
The Squirt team posted at 5-5 tie against Concord-Carlisle Saturday night in Tewksbury and then followed up with a 5-4 win against Reading Sunday morning in Methuen.The Saints continue their Valley Hockey League season this weekend with games throughout the area.
