Heavy Rains Friday, Snow Possible This Weekend

Warmer temperatures Thursday will bring in some heavy rains and clearing ahead of some wintry weather this weekend.

Light showers on Thursday will turn into heavier rain Thursday night into Friday, bringing up to a half an inch of rain before the showers end sometime Saturday morning.

But those showers are expected to include sleet before 3 a.m. on Saturday, with a chance of snow after 3 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday is currently expected to bring early morning temperatures in the 20s. And the forecast for Sunday night into early Monday morning will bring a wintry mix including snow, sleet and freezing rain.
