Impromptu Appearance on WMUR's Cooks Corner

On Tuesday night we got an "emergency" call from WMUR's Cooks Corner; they needed a replacement for Saturday's segment. I've got two episodes under my apron and a third is planned in September. We, of course, said yes without hesitation. Then I panicked. What would I wear? Seriously, this is what I worried about. I wasn't worried about what I was going to make. Well, okay, I was worried a little bit. Jane suggested the zucchini quiche I'd made earlier in the week. That was a start.

On the show my goal is to show multiple uses of a product from the farmers market. I decided to try a cupcake and a "pasta" dish, without pasta.

I had two days to get this all done. Thankfully my refrigerator was already overfilled with zucchini as I was prepping for this week's market celebration {National Farmers Market Week; Gov. Hassan will be there! So should you. Like the market on Facebook for updates.}.

I made two more quiches for set display and readied the ingredients for the demonstration. I made more cupcakes for display, and to leave with the television crew. {I'd blogged about the cupcakes the day after our taping.}
I haven't blogged about the "zucchini linguini" yet, but will soon.

We had a blast at the station and everyone loved the quiche, the cupcakes and the zucchini linguini. It's a good thing when people go back for seconds. I can't wait to go back.

Watch the segment. That's me on the far right and Jane is wearing her famous hat; she's our dedicated volunteer director of the market.
