January 7 Session Info
A brief overview over the January 7 work of the New Hampshire legislature.

The House Session of January 7, 2015 only dealt with rules that would govern the House. The following occured in regards to the House rules, which govern the House for the next two years:
- We established the Calendar of the General Court (Deadlines and crossover dates were solidified).
- We voted to allow concealed carry allowed on the House floor and Gallery. Any brandishing of a weapon in those areas will be against House rules.
- A proposed change to increase the threshold for seconding a Roll Call request from 10 to 20 was tabled by a wide margin.
- An amendment that would have the Majority and Minority Leaders elected by their respective caucuses was voted down by the full House.
From this point on, any House rule can be changed, but it would required a 2/3rds majority vote to achieve. It was a fairly light day but one that sets the work up for the next two years.
