K-9 Unit Nabs Teen Purse Snatcher: LOG

Salem Police: Newton woman charged with DUI after blowing more than 0.16 and dynamite found in a garage on North Main Street.

SALEM, NH –

Kimberly A. Quintana, 49, of Newton, was arrested at 12:58 a.m. on Nov. 27, 2015, for DUI-impairment, aggravated DUI (0.16+), DUI-Adult (over 0.08), and resisting arrest or detention. Police were sent to the Salem Gulf on South Broadway for a report of a two-vehicle accident. After investigating the incident, Quintana was arrested. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.

Pablo Rodriguez Jr., 51, of Cluff Crossing Road in Salem, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. on Nov. 27, for conduct after an accident. Police were sent to the apartment complex for a report of a car hitting a parked truck. The car backed up and then went further into the lot, according to the report. A second caller reported the subject near the pool and outside of his vehicle, assessing the damage. Police met with Rodriguez and then, arrested him. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail.

Two 15-year-old juveniles were arrested on shoplifting charges at the Lord & Taylor on Rockingham Park Boulevard at 10:52 a.m. on Nov. 27. One was also charged with possession of a controlled drug (marijuana, hashish, less than 5 grams).

At 1:24 p.m. on Nov. 27, the Nashua Bomb Squad was sent to North State Street for a report of dynamite found in a garage. They took custody of the dynamite, according to the report.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for theft by unauthorized taking (between $1,000 and $1,500) at 2:17 p.m. on Nov. 27. Police were sent to Kohl’s on Cluff Crossing road for a report of a Hispanic man snatching a purse from an elderly woman. He later fled the scene in a Jeep. The vehicle was found in the lot at Lancelot and a K-9 unit found him hiding behind a trailer.

A person received a summons at 2:34 p.m. on Nov. 27, for shoplifting at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park.

An intoxicated woman was taken from Arlington Pond Court and transported to Holy Family at 4:03 p.m. on Nov. 27.
