Welcome to the Salem Patch Last Chance, a new Monday feature where we will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks coming up in the week ahead.
This week we're featuring the Salem Recreation Department karate program, sponsored in conjunction with Salem Kenpo Academy at 326 South Broadway. The department offers two programs: One for children ages 4 to 9 on Fridays and ages 10 to 14 on Mondays.
Each program runs from 4 to 5 p.m. for six week sessions and start dates are this Friday, March 30 and next Monday, April 2.

Registration is $40 (extra $10 charge for non-residents). Individuals must register at the Recreation Department at Town Hall Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. or by appointment after 1:30 p.m. Space is limited and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
