People are always
looking for reasons to shop: it’s something you need, it’s a gift for a loved
one, something you’ve been searching every store to find. Finally, Lord and
Taylor has come in to give us a reason to feel good while we shop. Typically,
shopping is only beneficial to oneself, not their community. Now, shopping goes
beyond selfish acts and goes into something you can feel good about: charity.
Yes, you can donate
simultaneously while you shop. Lord and Taylor located in the Mall at
Rockingham Park in Salem, NH is teaming up with The Upper Room out of Derry, NH
to create a fundraiser on Friday November 8th that allows shoppers
to feel good about their purchases. While receiving 15% storewide, 10% off
cosmetics, and an extra 10% off for using your Lord and Taylor card, 10% of
your overall purchase will be donated to The Upper Room. With all of these
savings, there should be enough reason to go in and buy, especially with the
holidays sneaking up on us. Fortunately, there’s more: for every shopper who
opens a Lord and Taylor card during the fundraiser, Lord and Taylor will donate
$1 to The Upper Room (and the person who opens the card will receive another
15% off their purchase). This event seems to be a win-win-win.
The Upper Room is a Family
Resource Center focused on being a positive resource for families in the Derry,
NH to become healthy and strong individuals and families. For the past 25
years, they have been working to “help individuals and families in need of
education, support, and resources to "make it" in today's world!”
With the help of Lord and Taylor and its committed and caring shoppers, this
non-profit organization hopes to raise funds to make this goal possible.
