Man Walked Into Oncoming Downeaster Train in NH, Authorities Say
The fatal crash happened Friday.

A man walked into the path of an oncoming Downeaster train in Plaistow Friday and was killed, authorities said.
The crash happened in a hard-to-reach wooded area behind a Walmart near Route 125, according to Plaistow police. The train involved was No. 684, which left Portland, Maine at 12:45 p.m. The train hit the man in between the Exeter, N.H., and Haverhill stops.

Police told WMUR a middle-aged man walked into the path of the train.
The man has not yet been identified.
