“Several attempts were made to speak with the male and after some time passed the male rolled down his window just enough to hand (the) officer his license,” Dolan alleged. “The male was then argumentative to (the) officer and became aggressive. The male flung open his door, exited his vehicle, removed his jacket, and squared off with (the) officer.”
The officer attempted to take Giuffrida into custody but he allegedly pulled away and a struggled ensued, police alleged, lastly several minutes and becoming “violent,” according to Dolan. The officer was able to call for backup units and Giuffrida was contained later.
Giuffrida was held on $500 cash bail and transported to jail. He was arraigned this morning. Two officers and Giuffrida received treatment from Salem Fire and Rescue teams.
