Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Nov. 2 Concert
Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Features the Return of Piano Soloist, Kadar Qian, for its November 2nd Concert

The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra is very pleased to welcome back an already-accomplished local artist, 16-year-old piano soloist Kadar Qian. Qian, winner of numerous young artist competitions, has performed with a variety of local symphony orchestras, as well as making his Boston Pops debut at the age of 15. Kadar, a Westford Academy high honor student, has given more than 100 performances in the US and China, including 10 solo appearances with orchestras. Kadar has also performed on the NPR radio show, appeared on WHDH TV in 2011, and was featured on WGBH radio in 2012. He also made his conducting debut in 2012 at age 14. Mr. Qian is returning as a featured artist to perform the Camille Saint-Saëns “Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Opus 22” with orchestra accompaniment on November 2nd.
The orchestra, under the direction of George Monseur, will round out this concert by also performing Bizet’s “L’Arlesienne Suite No. 1”, and the Brahms “Symphony No. 4 in E Minor, Opus 98.” Don’t miss this special event!
