Merrimack Valley Philharmonic to Perform Family Holiday Concert while Hosting 13th Annual Holiday Silent Auction
Violin Soloist Ariell Balan and Voices of Hope will be featured in this special holiday event.

The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by George Monseur, is pleased to announce it will be featuring Voices of Hope under the direction of Chris Desjardins for its upcoming holiday performance. This talented singing group is well known for sharing their passion for the performing arts while raising awareness and funds for cancer research. Also showcased, will be violin soloist Ariell Balan from the Boston Youth Symphony. Ariell has been an active member and eventual co-concertmaster of the Northeast Massachusetts Youth Orchestra. Beginning lessons at age 3, and now 16 years of age, Ariell has studied under Trudy Larson, Holly Barnes of Phillips Academy and Magdalena Richter at the Rivers Conservatory. Ariell will be performing the first movement from the Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto No. 3, Op. 61 with the orchestra. The concert, overall, will be rounded out with beautiful selections of many musical family holiday favorites.
Preceding the concert at the Rogers Center, the doors will open at 1 PM for the orchestra’s Thirteenth Annual Silent Auction. The auction will be held through intermission and winners will be announced during the concert. Many artisans and businesses donate their time, talents, products and services to support the arts in the Merrimack Valley. Auction items may be paid for by cash or check only on the day of the concert. Be sure to make this event part of your family tradition this holiday season!
