Mom Charged After Daughter Runs Over Her Baby Sister With a Car: Cops

Salem Police: Amylynn Boehm was arrested on Sunday on a warrant for child endangerment, improper operation charges.

SALEM, NH — Police have arrested a local mother on charges after she allegedly allowed one of her daughters to start her car – which resulted in the injury of another daughter, according to police. Amylynn M. Boehm, 27, of South Policy Street in Salem, was arrested on Oct. 2, 2016, on two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of allowing an improper person to operate a vehicle.

According to police, officers were sent to the apartment on Sept. 27, after Salem Fire and Rescue teams were called for a report of a 7-year-old girl accidentally running over her sister, a 2-year-old, in a Ford Focus, after allegedly being allowed to start the vehicle, according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. Police later learned during the investigation that this was reportedly not the first time that Boehm allowed her daughter to start her vehicle, according to police.

Boehm was processed and released. She’s due in court on Nov. 14.
