More Work Scheduled for I-93

Prepare for lane closures through the end of the week.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation wants residents to know that there is more work associated with the construction of the new I-93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem this week, according to a press statement.

Weather permitting, paving operations on I-93 southbound will take place on the day/nights this week through Friday, July 10, 2015. Construction crews will be paving the final wearing course on southbound I-93 in the Exit 2 area.

Construction operations will require traffic on I-93 southbound to be reduced to two lanes utilizing a lane closure. This work will take place during non-peak hours, from approximately 3 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorist should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.

This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. from Windham.
