Women Busted for Shoplifting: Salem Police Log

Salem Police: Teens, Mass. woman, and others charged with shoplifting. North Andover man arrested for resisting.

SALEM, NH — Two 15-year-old juveniles were arrested for shoplifting at the Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park at 7:02 p.m. on Nov. 28. They were released to their parents.

Dorothy J. Avery, 53, of Beamont Road in Methuen, MA, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. on Nov. 28, on a willful concealment charge. Employees at the store stated that had an alleged shoplifter was in custody but was “being disruptive” and “ingested a pill.” Avery was arrested and bailed out on $1,000 cash.

Kaveh Kowsari, 32, of Coachman’s Lane in North Andover, MA, was arrested at 9:48 p.m. on Nov. 28, for possession of a controlled drug (marijuana, hashish, under 5 grams) and resisting arrest. Police were sent to Macy’s at the Rockingham Mall and to take Kowsari for protective custody for intoxication. He was later arrested and released on personal recognizance bail.
