NH Man Dies After Truck Strikes Pole, Flips

Breaking: NHSP: Neither alcohol nor excessive speed are to blame for a fatal accident in Danville but troopers seek info about the case.

DANVILLE, NH — New Hampshire State Police are investigating a fatal pickup truck crash on G.H. Carter Drive in Danville that took the life of a Granite Stater this morning. Donald Leathers, 55, of Danville, was pronounced dead at the scene after Danville Police and state troopers were sent to the single vehicle crash at just before 9 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2016.

When they arrived, they found a single vehicle – a pickup truck – in the roadway, overturned.

“Troopers from NH State Police Troop-A were requested to respond and assist with the investigation,” according to Lt. Christopher Vetter of the NHSP. “That investigation determined a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup was travelling on G.H. Carter Drive when for an unknown reason the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the right, overcorrected and struck a telephone pole before overturning and coming to rest on its roof.”
