NH State Police Ask, Do You Know this Man?
Investigators are looking for assistance in finding out the real identity of "Joel Salome-Ortiz" of Salem.

The New Hampshire State Police Department has arrested a man on multiple counts of tampering with public records and sworn falsification after he allegedly claimed to be a man from Salem while trying to obtain an identification card on Feb. 11, 2015.
The man was arrested on multiple charges earlier today.
According to a report, the man reportedly claimed to be Joel Salome-Ortiz, 33, of Salem. He visited the Department of Motor Vehicles in Salem this morning and allegedly used fraudulent documents and a false address on his application to obtain a non-driver’s identification card.

Troop G of the New Hampshire State Police, the department that has been investigating a number of alleged incidents of this nature, were alerted to the documentation issue at around 10 a.m. After an investigation into the situation, the man was arrested and held on $25,000 cash bail. He will be arraigned tomorrow in 10th Circuit Court in Salem.
“Members of Troop G are still working to ascertain Salome-Ortiz’s true identity and encourage anyone with information to contact Trooper James O’Leary at 603-223-8778,” according to a statement from Sgt. Andrew Player.

Player also noted that members of the Salem Police Department, ICE, and DMV assisted and were involved in the case.
