NH's Weekend: KC, Live Theatre, Gems, and GOP Debates
Here is a roundup of fun things to do around the Granite State this weekend.

Saturday
- Me & Ollie’s Bakery & Café, at 64 Water St. in Exeter hosts an ECK Spiritual Chat at 10 a.m. for those interested in sharing their spiritual experiences.
- The Rockingham County East Knit In meets at 11 a.m. at the Exeter Senior Center on 30 Court St. in Exeter. The knitters are working on Period of PURPLE Crying caps.
- A wine and cheese tasting social will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. at WineNot Boutique, 170 Main St. in Nashua. Expect as many as four to six different types of wines and artisan cheeses to check out. The event is free.
- The TLP Music School on Bryce Drive in Merrimack is hosting an open house at the school from 3 to 6 p.m. Learn about the school’s programs without obligation. The event is free.
- The Exeter Republican Town Committee, Rockingham County Republican Committee and Seacoast Republican Women will host three separate Republican debates at 4:15 p.m. at the Exeter Town Hall. The major Republican gubernatorial, Senatorial, and Congressional candidates have all been invited to participate.
- Paint and Sip Starry Night at the Canvas Roadshow at 176 S. River Road in Bedford from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy art and wine at the same time.
- Lady Luck Burlesque, Portsmouth’s very own burlesque troupe, performs at 8 p.m. at The Music Hall on Chestnut Street. Tickets are $30.
- The Slakas play Wicked Twisted on 38 E. Hollis St. in Nashua from 9 p.m. To 1 a.m. The band is a quintet that plays all kinds of classic hits.
- Last Kid Picked performs at The Whippersnappers Restaurant in Londonderry at 9:30 p.m.
Sunday
- The Capital Mineral Club hosts a gem, mineral, and jewelry festival at the Everett Arena in Concord from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults.
- Festival Hispano will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Saint Catherine of Siena Church on Woodbury Avenue in Portsmouth. The event features all kinds of authentic food and is free.
- The 5th Annual Blues for Beanie Festival starts at 1 p.m. at the Kimball Jenkins Estate in Concord. Tickets are $10. Michelle “Evil Gal” Willson, Cheryl Arena, Ricky “King” Russell, The Ken Clark Organ Trio, and Mr. Nick & the Dirty Tricks. The event is a fundraiser for Jeannine “Beanie” David who was injured in a car crash five years ago.
- Another Tequila Sunrise performs at The Whippersnappers Restaurant in Londonderry at 7 p.m.
- KC and the Sunshine Band performs at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom at 8 p.m. Tickets are $41 to $50.

- Shrek the Musical is presented at Prescott Park in Portsmouth at 1 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
- Mending Fences will be performed at the West End Studio Theatre on Islington Street in Portsmouth at 2 and 8 p.m. on Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $18, $20.
- The Community Players of Concord, NH are holding open auditions for “9 to 5 - The Musical,” based on the Dolly Parton film. From 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, at Players’ Studio, 435 Josiah Bartlett Road in Concord. Bring sheet music to sing a song of your choice. Sides will be available at the auditions as will the dance sequence.
- 10th Annual Hampton Beach Talent Competition will be held on Hampton Beach beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
- The Players’ Ring Theater on Marcy Street in Portsmouth offers The Interview at 10 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10, $12.
