Open Houses for Renovated Schools

Public invited to see the changes at three renovated elementary schools.

The public is invited to attend open houses this weekend at three recently renovated elementary schools as part of a $22 million project.

"People can see where their hard-earned tax money has gone," SAU 57 Superintendent Michael Delahanty said at this week's school board meeting.

The open houses will take place at the following places and times: at 54 Millville St. on Friday, Sept. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m.; at 55 Butler St. on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon; and at 140 Zion Hill Road on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Delahanty encouraged the public to attend activities on Saturday in addition to attending the open houses.

At each open house, School Board Chair Peter Morgan will deliver opening remarks followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. People at each different school will provide information to attendees about the changes and new features at each school.

It's expected citizens will be asked to approve another bond for renovations at , and Elementary schools next year.
