Overdoses, Heroin Arrests Ring in the New Year: Log
Salem Police: Teen charged with reckless operation while a Mass. man faces a credit card fraud charge. Salem man also Tased after chase.

SALEM, NH - Gilbert Colon, 27, of Weeping Willow Drive in Rochester, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2015, for possession of a controlled drug, transporting drugs in a motor vehicle, and open container. Police were sent to the Irving gas station on North Broadway for a report of an overdose. An employee alleged that a man was at the front counter and appeared to be overdosing. Another subject was in a bathroom, according to the report. Salem Fire and Rescue teams were also sent to the scene. Colon was taken in to custody and held after refusing bail.

Daniel Cordero, 29, of Hope Avenue in Attleboro, MA, was arrested at 12:24 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2016, on a warrant for credit card fraud ($1,501+ or two priors). He was arrested and held on $2,000 cash bail.

Richard T. Smith, 25, of Nolet Avenue in Salem, was arrested at 9 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2016, for possession of a controlled drug (heroin, crack, less than 1 gram) and possession of a controlled drug. Also arrested was Carley M. Hennessey, 23, of River Street in Leicester, MA, who was charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin, crack, less than 1 gram). Police were sent to the I-93 rest area for a report of a suspicious vehicle. They were arrested and processed.
Salem Fire and Rescue teams were sent to Lancelot Court at 8:42 p.m. for an overdose. A woman was found passed out in the back entrance of the building. A resident said she had never seen the woman before. The woman was later transported to Holy Family.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on a reckless operation charge at 10:55 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2016. He turned himself in on a warrant and then was released on a summons.
Jesse L. Tisbert, 36, of Woodland Avenue in Salem, was arrested at 2:29 a.m. on Jan. 3, 2016, for reckless conduct-deadly weapon, reckless operation, resisting arrest or detention, disobeying an officer, two counts of traffic control device violation, and speeding (21-25 mph over 55 limit). On South Broadway, an officer attempted a traffic stop by the driver allegedly wouldn’t stop. The vehicle first turned into the McDonald’s parking lot and then headed to Market Basket. An officer requested stop sticks near the post office and the vehicle was stopped in front of Kamal’s. Tisbert was also reportedly Tased. He refused bail and was held.
Antonio M. Bairos, 56, of Azarian Road in Salem, was taken in to protective custody at 5:28 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2016, after an incident on Azarian Road.
