Our photo today is of the future location of Jay Gee's Ice Cream and Jake's Wayback Burgers and work that was being conducted on the 327 South Broadway site this week.
According to the Salem Town Projects website, Jay Gee's planned to redevelop the location that previously housed restaurants like Hooter's and Willow Tree. The previous building was removed and in its place is a 3,700 square-feet building being constructed above.
The building is slated to include the ice cream shop and a 34-seat restaurant for Jake's Wayback Burgers, according to the website.
