POLL: Which School Renovations Should Come First?
Discussion at last week's School Board meeting brought debate back.

, the subject of how best to move forward with school renovation plans was discussed and there appeared to be a divergence of opinion on where to go next.
The newest member of the School Board, Michael Carney Jr., said he believes renovations at should be the top priority.
"We are failing our students to the greatest extent at the high school," Carney said. "We do not offer the facilities I've seen around the state. I think our science classrooms are as low as you can possibly go right now."

He said that if they wait until 2015 to renovate the high school, it will be older than Woodbury High School (currently the ) was when the current high school was built.
His fellow members expressed the desire to continue to follow the district's Facilities Master Plan which calls for the renovation of three remaining elementary schools.
