3 Queen City Men Arrested After Target Shoplifting Incident: Salem Police Log

Mass. man arrested on drug sales charges; man accused of threatening to burn down home with everyone inside; Lowell man charged with DUI.

SALEM, NH — Nathan Chean, 23, of Westford Street in Lowell, Massachusetts, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 22, 2024, on a driving under the influence charge. He was arrested after a car reportedly crashed into a pillar on Pleasant Street. Fire and rescue teams were requested after a report of the driver sustaining a head injury. Chean was arrested and released on personal recognizance.

Casey Goodrich, 30, of an unknown address in Manchester, was arrested on a bench warrant at 9:07 p.m. on Oct. 22 as well as felony receiving stolen property-$1,501-plus, possession of a controlled drug, driving after revocation or suspension, and two deal-possess prescription drugs charges. Also arrested was Brandon S. Ross, 34, of Tarrytown Road in Manchester, on a warrant and Timothy J. Maclean, 43, of Mast Road in Manchester, on possession of a controlled drug and willful concealment, a felony, due to two prior convictions. Police were sent to Target on South Broadway for a report of a known shoplifter in the store. The man reportedly left the goods behind and was walking away from the scene. Police were out with the man and three others who were accused of being inside a vehicle stolen out of Nashua. Three people were arrested and taken to county. One person was also taken to Exeter Hospital.

Daren Andrew Wedge, 35, of North Policy Street in Salem, at 6:36 p.m. on Oct. 22 on a criminal threatening charge. Police were sent to a domestic incident on North Policy Street between two family members. One accused the other of threatening to burn down the house, with everyone in it, while being highly intoxicated, according to police. Wedge was arrested, released on personal recognizance, and taken to jail on protective custody.

Manuel A. Elias, 53, of Harbor Street in Salem, MA, was arrested at 2:21 p.m. on Oct. 22 on three sale of methamphetamine and three sale of cocaine charges, all felonies. He was arrested on a warrant and released on personal recognizance.

Joseph Ditullio, 35, of Green Street in Reading, MA, was arrested on a bench warrant at 10:40 a.m. on Oct. 22 as well as a bail jumping charge. He was arrested at the Lawrence MA District Court and picked up on a Salem warrant and an electronic bench warrant.

Jordan Edward Pasternak, 22, of Longwood Avenue in Holyoke, MA, was arrested at 7:13 p.m. on Oct. 21 on domestic violence-simple assault and resisting arrest or detention charges. Police were sent to Klemms Mobil on Pleasant Street for a report of a man and woman fighting. Both then fled on foot from the area, according to police. Officers spoke to both parties and the man was arrested. Fire and rescue teams were requested due to the man banging his head off the back of the cruiser, according to police. He was then taken to the hospital.

Joseph Abbott Chatman, 40, of Hingston Circle in Braintree, MA, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. on Oct. 21 on false report to law enforcement and willful concealment charges. He was arrested after an incident at Macy’s at the Mall at Rockingham Park. He was then released on personal recognizance.

Erika Anne McNally, 33, of Burnham Road in Andover, MA, was arrested at 1:24 p.m. on Oct. 21 on a bench warrant and a bail jumping charge. She was arrested on a warrant and a $1,000 cash electronic bench warrant.
