Dean's list recognition and graduations for Salem residents.

MICHIGAN TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Michigan Technological University has released the Dean's List for fall semester 2011. To be included, students must achieve grade point averages of 3.5 or higher.

Among the honorees is Tori Nemethy of Salem, a scientific and technical communication major.

UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN

Shayla McCarron (Senior) from Salem, N.H. was named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven for the fall 2011 semester. Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the Dean's List.

CURRY COLLEGE

Curry College's Chief Academic Officer David Potash is pleased to announce that Meghan Breen of Salem attained membership to the Curry College Dean's List for the Fall 2011 term.

"Curry students who achieve the Dean's List demonstrate deep commitment to learning and academic success," said Dean Potash. "We are proud of them and their accomplishments."

To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.30 G.P.A., have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a "C" for the semester. Full-time students must carry 12 or more graded credits for the semester; part-time students must be matriculated, carrying 6-11.5 graded credits for the semester, and must have earned a cumulative total of 15 graded credits in consecutive semesters.

SAINT ANSELM COLLEGE

Rev. Augustine Kelly, O.S.B., dean of the college announces the following students that were named to the Dean's List for the first semester at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, N.H.

Brittany Lynn Beaumier, of Salem, a nursing major and a member of the class of 2015.

Bridget E. Klecan, of Salem, a nursing major and a member of the class of 2014.

Rimonda R. Maroun, of Salem, a criminal justice major and a member of the class of 2013.

Catherine M. Miranowicz, of Salem, a psychology major and a member of the class of 2015.

Joseph M. Morin, of Salem, an economics major and a member of the class of 2015.

Alyssa R. Trabucco, of Salem, an accounting major and a member of the class of 2014.

To be eligible for this honor, a student must compile a grade point average of 3.0 or better.

UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT

Jirias W. Charabati of Salem, NH received a BA degree in Biology within the College of Arts & Sciences during the 208th Commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont, held in December.

The Dean's List designation is bestowed to those Keene State College undergraduates enrolled in a degree program who have completed a minimum of six credit hours in the semester, receiving no failing or incomplete grades. A 3.5 or higher grade point average on a 4.0 scale is required to earn the Dean's List honor.

To be eligible for dean's list status, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis (A through C) to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
