KEENE STATE COLLEGE
On Saturday, May 5, Keene State College's Commencement honored its biggest-ever graduating class. A total of 1,196 degrees were awarded to 1,107 students.

MERRIMACK COLLEGE
The following local students were recently honored at Merrimack College as Presidential Scholars in recognition of their strong academic achievement.
To be named a Presidential Scholar, a senior year student must have achieved a cumulative 3.5 grade point average or higher, based on a 4.0 grading system.

Adriana Estevez, Salem, NH, majoring in Psychology
ROCHESTER INSITITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Sheraz Rashid of Salem, N.H., graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in medical informatics from RIT's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences in the winter 2011–2012 quarter.
WASHINGTON AND LEE UNIVERSITY
John David Turpin, Jr. of Salem, N.H., received the juris doctor degree on Saturday, May 5, from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
Turpin was among 129 students receiving their juris doctor degree during commencement ceremonies held on Washington and Lee University's historic Front Lawn.
Turpin was a member of the American Constitution society, the International Law Society, W&L Film Society, W&L Outing Club, attended Trinity College Dublin on exchange to study international law for one year, worked with VITA Tax Clinic, worked with Habitat for Humanity, rebuilt homes in New Orleans on school-sponsored trip, worked with German Law Journal and worked with local lawyers as member of ABA young lawyers division.
Turpin received the B.S. degree from Franklin Pierce University.
