Rotary Oktoberfest Coming Oct. 14-15

The Greater Salem Rotary Club will be hosting the 2nd Annual Oktoberfest on Friday, Oct. 14 and Saturday, Oct. 15 under a big tent at

The celebration will run from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday and then 12 to 9 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids up to 18, kids 5 and under get in free.

There will be traditional German food along with beer, wine soft drinks and desserts. Tethered hot air balloon ride will be available Saturday afternoon courtesy of ReMax. A large car show will also take place Saturday afternoon.

Authentic German oom-pah group the Oberlander Hofbrau Band will play Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Chris White Band will play Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Face-painting and balloons will also be available for children.
