Saints PeeWees Top a Winning Hockey Weekend

Another busy weekend of New Hampshire Saints Youth Hockey action was filled with notable victories, including a first win of the season for the PeeWee team.

The Saints PeeWee team picked up their first victory of the season with a 3-1 win over the Seacoast Spartans on Sunday. Will Marggraf led the way offensively with two goals, while Jake Murphy added a third. Spencer Deane was spectacular in goal, holding the Spartans scoreless during the first half of the game and the team kept up defensive pressure all game with strong performances from Jack Flanagan and Joey Reagan.
 
The Saints Bantam 1 team beat Triton Bantam AAA's 4-1 Saturday night in Haverhill.  Great puck movement, solid defense and overall hustle got this one done.  Jim Harootian scored the Saints first goal assisted by Joey Carney with 4:20 remaining in the first.  The Saints scored two more in the second, Joey Carney unassisted and Patrick Hare assisted by Riley Nutter to go up 3-0.  Although Triton scored a goal with 10 minutes remaining, Patrick Hare scored the Saints fourth and final goal to cap things off.

The Saints Mite team scored a 6-5 win against Newburyport on Saturday in Tewksbury. Noah Tanguay was in net and made some amazing saves for his first time goaltending. Tyler Kirby led the scoring with a hat trick, while other scorers included Hunter Marcin, Andrew Sylvain and Colby Savageau.

Mike Vincente scored two goals and Austin Smith added one more as the Bantam 2 team came up short 5-3 in a comeback bid against Nashua in Nashua Friday night.
