Salem Company Honored for Export Service

Corfin Industries received a presidential "E" Award for Export Service from the U.S. government on May 16.

SALEM, NH – Two New Hampshire companies/organizations were recognized on May 16, 2016, together with 123 others nationwide, as recipients of the President’s “E” Award for exporting excellence during a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

Companies and organizations receiving the honor include Salem-based Corfin Industries, and the state of New Hampshire.

Representatives from each company were presented the “E” Award from Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker for their significant contributions to increasing America’s overall exports or providing export services over a four-year period.

“Congratulations to Corfin Industries and the State of New Hampshire for their achievements in exporting,” said Pritzker. “The recipients being honored today demonstrate the opportunity inherent in selling Made-in-America products to the broad customer base that exists outside our borders. Their success contributes to growth, job creation, competitiveness, and the success of the American economy.”

Justin Oslowski, the director of the U.S. Commercial Service New Hampshire office, said this type of recognition highlights how hard businesses in The Granite State are working to be successful in a globalized economy.

“Congratulations to Corfin Industries and the State of New Hampshire on their well-deserved “E” Awards,” she said. “Both awardees have played a crucial role in strengthening and growing our economy through increased U.S. exports, and they should be proud of this extraordinary achievement.”

The “E” Award ceremony is one of the highlights of World Trade Month, a month-long celebration of the benefits that U.S. exports bring to national, state, and local economies through job creation and growth.
