Salem Family Resources hosts Community Guest Readers
Salem Family Resources launched Guest Reader series, with John DeBaun, Senior Vice-President, Pentucket Bank

Salem Family Resources launched "Our Community Cares" Guest Reader series, with John DeBaun, Senior Vice-President, Pentucket Bank, as the first reader.Prominent community leaders are invited to read to the children in The Learning Cooperative Preschool of SFR, to highlight the greater Salem area as a great place to live, work and go to school, because of the committed community leaders who work daily to create a bright future for our young children.
"John certainly set the bar high!" said Cindy Jury, executive director. “He is a gifted reader- engaging the preschoolers and inviting them to interact and comment on the story. That back and forth interaction with young children is what develops healthy brain architecture."
It takes a community to help families raising children in today's world. Long-term child outcomes are significantly improved when parents, families and caregivers have the tools and confidence needed to raise strong and healthy families.
