“While officers were en route, loss prevention observed the female select some kitchen cabinet hardware and leave the store without paying for the items, valued at approximately $140,” according to Capt. Joel Dolan of the Salem Police Department. “Loss prevention approached the female outside the store and asked her to stop (but) the female attempted to run away.”
One of the employees attempted to grab the woman’s purse and then a man jumped out of a nearby vehicle, ran up to the employee, allegedly pushed him, and threatened to “bang him out,” Dolan noted. The employees let them go and called police. Officers located the suspect vehicle at an intersection near the store and arrested them. A child was also in the backseat of the vehicle, according to Dolan.

In 2015, they were both indicted in Hillsborough County Superior Court; Eric Sederquest, who was living on North State Street in Concord at the time, was indicted on two counts of felony theft by unauthorized taking after allegedly stealing Samsung cellphones, valued at $1,500, from Staples in Nashua on Sept. 26, 2013, and Samsung cellphones from Verizon Wireless in Nashua, valued at $1,150, on Nov. 19, 2013. She was indicted on criminal liability, a felony, for allegedly assisting him during the Verizon Wireless theft. She was indicted later that year on more criminal liability charges connected to the alleged Staples incident.
