Salem High School Seniors of the Month

Cindy Ngetuny, Heather Alfano, Mariah Houle, and Steven Beninati are honored.

SALEM, NH - Senior of the Month for February: Cindy Ngetuny

Cindy is currently involved in HOSA at Salem High, as well as Student Council, New Hampshire Association of Student Councils, and also plays the piano and violin. Her future plans are to become an Emergency Medicine Physician.

Senior of the Month for March: Heather Alfano

Heather is involved in many in school and community activities and clubs including HOSA, after school chorus, St, Josephs Choir, and is a CCD teacher. She is HOSA president for 2015-2016, Salem HOSA State Liaison, Student Council Representative, National Honor Society Vice President, SALT President at Salem High School, and Class Council Publicist. Her future plans are to attend a four-year college (most likely Simmons) for nursing, or apply to their 5-year nurse practitioners program. She is still deciding whether or not she wants to be a doctor and hopes to have that figured out within the next couple of years.

Senior of the Month for April: Mariah Houle

Mariah is currently involved in Skills USA in the area of Culinary, and just recently participated in the Skills USA competition for Culinary. While she did not place in the competition she said it was a great experience to see how other schools programs and students work. After Salem High School she plans on attending Southern New Hampshire University in Hookset for her Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and then get her Bachelors in it as well. She plans on continuing to work at the Common Man Restaurant and expanding her career.

Senior of the Month May: Steven Beninati

Steven is currently involved in many clubs and activities at Salem High. These include: Secretary of Biotech Club, member of the Key Club, Math Team, Chess Club, First Robotics Team, and National Honor Society, and Captain of the Quiz Bowl and Granite State Challenge Teams. He plans on attending college in the fall with a major in Mechanical Engineering. He hopes to earn a Master’s Degree and be employed with a commercial space company.
